Family: Araceae
Common Name: Peace Lily ‘Flower Bunch’
Botanical Name: spathiphyllum wallisii ‘Flower Bunch’
If you want to create an instant tropical atmosphere with minimal fuss, then Peace Lily Flower Bunch is the perfect plant choice. Spathiphyllum 'Flower Bunch' is adaptable to various lighting conditions but will bloom best in a brightly lit space. Peace Lilies' main care requirement is water! When the leaves start to droop, it is time to give them water!
Light
Peace Lily Flower Bunch plants are extremely adaptable because of its ability to live comfortably in a wide range of indirect light (low to bright). The more indirect light the Peace Lily Flower Bunch gets, the more it will bloom. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight. Also, prevent your plant from getting too much shade because it can cause damage to your plant’s overall well-being.
Water
Your Peace Lily Flower Bunch needs to have consistently moist soil, but never let it sit in standing water. It will droop alarmingly when you miss a watering, but don’t worry – it will recover in a matter of hours once you water it. If this dryness causes it to lose a few lower leaves, just remove the dead leaves, and more will grow.
Soil
Peace Lily Flower Bunch plants love loose, nutrient-rich potting soil. Use a soil medium that can retain moisture but also allows for draining excess water to avoid root rot. Most pre-mixed soils will suffice. Ensure that there is plenty of organic matter, like coco-coir, peat moss, or shredded leaves, and avoid soils that contain moisture retaining crystals. Also, the soils pH level range should be between 6.0 and 7.0, as that is what this type of plant prefers. If your soil drains too quickly, we recommend re-potting your plant into a compost-rich soil mixture, with less drainage materials.
Temperature
It is more common than not, that your Peace Lily Flower Bunch will grow in most household temperatures ranging from 60-80℉. However, this plant does not like the temperature to drop below 50℉. Keep it away from drafts and doorways during the winter months. Any exposure to severe drops in temperatures can be very damaging to your plant.
Humidity
Average household humidity levels are fine for your Peace Lily Flower Bunch, but if you are seeing brown leaf tips even though you are watering regularly, then you might have very low humidity in your home. In this case, consider adding a humidifier for a healthier, happier plant. Ideally, your plant will live its best light in humidity levels that are between 40% and 60%. This is due to those levels replicating the plant original environment.
Fertilizer
In the growing season, fertilize your Peace Lily Flower Bunch plant once a month with a complete liquid fertilizer, ½-strength of recommended dilution. This is especially important when the plant is blooming. Make sure you water your plant well before you apply any fertilizer to it. This is important for your plant to not get burned.
Growth Rate
Generally, Peace Lily Flower Bunch plants are moderate growers and depending on the variety, can take up to 5 years to reach its full height. They rarely exceed over 4' high and 4' wide. (Again, this depends on their environment and provided care!) When they have matured fully, they are able to reach a height of 12 to 18 inches (30 to 45 cm). Keep in mind though, that factors such as the pot size can play a role in the mature height for a plant.
