Let the sunshine in with Flame of the Woods and its intense yellow tubular flowers! This flowering shrub brightens up its surroundings all summer long with a constant display color. Indoors, place Maui Yellow Ixora in a spot that receives over six hours of sunlight daily. If you keep your ixora outdoors, morning sunlight is best as intense afternoon light can burn the leaves of this flowering plant. Jungle Flame (yes, this plant has many names!) is also an excellent pollinator plant attractive to bees and butterflies! Ixora requires moist soil during the growing season. If planted outdoors in a planter, water daily! When kept indoors, water the soil when the top 1/2 of the soil becomes dry. We recommend fertilizing flowering plants once a week while they bloom with a complete liquid fertilizer diluted to 1/4 of the recommended strength. Water the soil thoroughly before you add the fertilizer.
