Oleander: The siren of flowering plants will lure you in with its glamorous looks, but handle this seductress with care (and gloves)! This popular flowering shrub is low-maintenance and fast-growing, but all parts of the plant are toxic—plant Calypso Pink Oleander (and all types of oleander) where pets and children cannot reach. Warning aside, Nerium oleander is a great statement piece planted in the center of outdoor and indoor planters. They flourish in bright sunlight and will bloom all summer and into autumn with the proper care. If you keep your oleander outside for the summer, you can bring it indoors before the night-time temperatures fall below 50°F. It's best to trim it back before bringing it inside.
This plant is highly toxic if ingested. Keep away from pets and children.
